In Step Seven of the YTT Educational Program in Rome, teacher Maria Catalano introduced Ibrahim, a young Senegalese migrant who has been living in Italy for the last 7 years, to her pupils at Istituto Comprensivo Artemisia Gentileschi Primary School. Together they worked on YTT drawing exercises and cultural-exchange activities highlighting different aspects of Ibrahim’s life.
The YTT educational program, in partnership with the Department of Education at Roma Tre University, is currently underway with 5th-grade children in a number of primary schools in Rome.
